When we lived in Japan we’d make regular trips to the body shop to stock up on all the essentials. Peppermint Foot Lotion and Hemp Hand Lotion were mainstays in the house but we bought whatever else, it was all funny money anyway, right? I thought I was sooo cool with that silver tube and forbidden leaf in my purse running around Tokyo. Soo many good products in there, love love love the body shop brand. Now they’re capitalizing on their success with *drumroll please*
a new Mineral Makeup Line!
The first product I want to mention is the cheek color. The golden terracotta gets me blushing with a nice warm earthy tone. Very natural and fresh looking. Even if you have your own foundation this blush would be a very nice compliment to that.
Up next is Nature’s Minerals foundation. I go through phases where I use press powder, then only liquid foundation, then only a tinted moisturizer plus loose powder.
So here is my loose powder alternative. Loose powder is perfect for when I want to look polished but don’t want any heavy makeup on. It gives full coverage with a little sheen, just that extra oomph but doesn’t feel heavy or mask-y if you know what I mean. I work with kids (other than my own) three days a week, I end up making a lot of facial expressions and that can feel tight sometimes, so I like putting on loose powder on those days so I’m covered but not tight.
Nature’s Minerals is very breathable, light and fresh but if you want to take it to a whole nudder level.
