This is my current favorite!  Shore Breeze by Slatkin fragrance is housed in a conch shell.  My husband and I met in Key West so the conch is a great motif for our home.  Is it wrong that I can’t wait to get through it to fill the conch with something?!  The scent comes in a wave just like the sea.  I had this burning in the guest room when my mom arrived as extra insurance.  She lives by the ocean so it made her feel right at home!

And now for the extremely affordable and at the same time ultra-luxurious, head to the local Bath and Body Works for Slatkin & Co Candles.  Just $20 for 14.5 ounce and $4 for the 4 ounce (sale until 1/25).  My personal pick is the Passion Fruit & Guava for the super romantic color and name.

All three are fabulous picks, nice clean burns, long lasting and great scent.

Camera

The next thing you may need is a camera and I just want to plug the super sweet little FLIP I’ve been using.  I LOVE that I don’t need to charge batteries!  I LOVE that I don’t need find the cord to connect to my computer to download!  I didn’t love the Flip software on my computer at first but NOW I do! I recommend this to anyone who’s sick of messing with technology that doesn’t work well.  I thought it was a flimsy piece of junk at first because it’s so lightweight and portable but after using it and tossing it around without incident I am convinced this is a must have for everyone on the planet.  Not particularly good for zooming but if you do lots of close up recording the FLIP is fool proof. Love love love love it.

To set the [...]]]> I’m having major issues today, my internet has been down most of the afternoon, then I needed loooong updates for my computer AND I have a major deadline due tonight.  Not to worry, I DO have my priorities straight… I’ve got to tell you about some juicy products before anything else!

Are you excited yet? Halloween’s coming! Costumes are flying out of stores and online shopping places.  We already have some costumes but I always get suckered into buying another one, two or three!  I’m also considering dressing up myself but I haven’t found a costume that I like yet.

Anywho, I’ve been decorating the house for a week now, I’ve got all the turkey stuff in a holding pattern and currently displaying some sweet stuff from Slatkin & Co.  I know you know Slatkin for fragrance but the centerpiece of the collection is the bat globe!  The globe features a jack-o-lantern with an eye patch and swirly bats.  Just turn on the switch and there’s no need to shake, the bats swirl and the lantern glows. 

It’s a very classy Halloween decoration if you know what I mean, this is a keepsake you’ll come back to year after year.  It would make a very nice October hostess gift, sleepover nightlight, gift for a helpful neighbor or for your very own family.

 While you’re over at BBW check out the Harry Slatkin Tealight holder in orange and white (pictured below).  If I had to choose just one it’d be the orange one because I love the way the flame dances around inside the holder in addition to the happy smile on Jack’s face.  The coordinating pumpkin scented tea lights are divine!

For a while I resisted the whole tote thing. I re-used my plastic shopping bags for garbage until last year when our town began a new recycling initiative.  We’re now required to dispose of trash in store-bought approved bags so I have no longer have a use for plastic shopping bags.

For a while I resisted the whole tote thing. I re-used my plastic shopping bags for garbage until last year when our town began a new recycling initiative.  We’re now required to dispose of trash in store-bought approved bags so I have no longer have a use for plastic shopping bags. 

I’ve been transitioning my life style and now keep a gaggle of totes in my car for shopping.  It’s easier than you think, just make sure to empty them out and have a system to get them back in place.  I like to keep them in the minivan, if we decide to walk to the store it’s just as easy to get them out of there than anywhere else.
