While in New York recently I had the pleasure to go on a shopping trip with The Elegant Tightwad. As a native New Yorker I dabbled in sample sales with limited success, if you know there is a sample sale that’s one thing but it’s getting in to see those collections that are not attracting every [...]
I don’t know about Coutorture but I do know what it’s like to live through off-the-rack clothes shopping. Ready to wear can make you ready to swear!
There are a lot of reasons beyond the control of the store that make me dislike this, my “SWEET” size tops the list following by a hungry husband and [...]
Save some money when you shop for fashion and more! Visit AAA.com and enter your zipcode. Then look for the ‘Discounts’ tab. Every region is different so you’ll have to check it out for your area or wherever you’re traveling. Outlet stores/malls offer discount coupon books available on site. Stores like New York and Company offer [...]
I am the biggest Emilio Pucci fan! I love the prints and swirls of Pucci’s prints, not to mention all the color. I have owned many beautiful Emilio Pucci items that I didn’t cherish properly, all vintage and found rummaging about. Pucci scarves, dresses, lingerie, polo shirt, luggage… Oh why is great fashion history wasted [...]
How true is that? I just picked up my copy of this book, Change Your Shoes, Change Your Life by Susan Reynolds at Big Lots for $3.
I bought it a week ago while wearing my red Havaiana flip flops I got in Chicago and never took off. If you remember, I live in Maine [...]
I was just watching the early show and am totally horrified with the new over-accessorized look. Seriously, haven’t they drummed into our heads, don’t over accessorize, don’t overpower with all the different things?
Now it seems we are to keep on adding stuff, the belts, the humongo earings and necklaces, hats, scarves and don’t [...]

A beauty blog fairytale...
Once upon a time, not too long ago, a lady was tired of talking heads that didn't get her lifestyle. She longed for one place where she could record her thoughts on the many wonderful products that came into her life and made it better (or worst).
Originally inspired by the tea she drank and steeped constantly, now the best part of waking up is a steamy, frothy espresso. So she may be a little fickle with her beverages!
Steeping Beauty has a soft spot for all things beautiful.
- skincare
- fragrance
- hair care
- nails
As well as all things culturally significant to her favorite far far away lands... France, Brazil, Japan, USA. Let's see where this less than perfect princess will step...
xoxo
