This is my beauty blog, there are many beauty blogs but this one is mine.
My name's Delphine and I'm a thirty something, mom of three. Need to know more? read on and hang on tight, the road's been bumpy lately but there's smooth paved road up ahead.
I'll have a picture of me up here at some point and maybe some more talk to entertain you.

As part of Banana Republic’s 30th Anniversary sale, they’ve reconfigurated the CLASSIC scent from an Eau de Toilette to an Eau de Parfum. The difference to you is parfum has a much richer scent. The new EDP has a much stronger scent without a change to the core notes. There is an increase is teak and cedarwood to [...]
The fragranced roll-on can thank it’s great grand product, the ball point pen.
WE can thank Givenchy for these portable roll-on perfumes!
The pink tube is scented with roses, verbena oil and star anise. Seems like the best of both worlds, “elegant tradition of French style with the energy and pop-culture pizzazz of American film.” Very [...]
The second scent from Estee Lauder’s Private Collection is named after Amber Ylang Ylang and created by Aerin Lauder. The first scent in the collection, Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia just isn’t my cup of tea. I must admit, I wasn’t very sure I wanted to try this one because of that fact. It would have [...]
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
To sphritz and or apply the latest fragrance and seduce all who sniff around you to try the new Bond Girl 007 fragrance by Avon. Once sniffed this scent is addictive. As James Bond has used his good looks and dapper grooming, you my dear shall use your secret scent.
Reported to [...]
French Fashion Designer, Sonya Rykiel, is giving you something to spray about! In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the brand, take a spray or two of Belle en Rykiel. One piece of her collection that WON’T break the bank!

Shu Uemura’s Summer 2008 collection, Hana-Bi
Hana-Bi, Japanese for fireworks, literally translated as flower-fire! Isn’t that awesome…?! In Japan there’s always a link to nature and with summertime almost here, it’s time for Shu Uemura’s limited edition collection. Every year a festive array of beauty items are selected to commemorate Mr. Uemura’s 1983 opening of the beauty boutique in Omotesando, [...]
Father’s Day is coming up this Sunday, so what will you be doing for dear old dad? I have the kids drawing pictures for daddy and Grandpa but couldn’t bring myself to buy another tie… sooo, I’m looked at Father’s Day stuff for him that I can enjoy too.
I considered all the same things you probably have, dvds? no, we have [...]
John Varvatos has been on the fashion scene for quite some time now, to capitalize on that success, JV has now splashed into the fragrance arena. There is men’s fragrance available but I don’t know much about that. My hubby has made it pretty clear that he wants to pick out his own fragrance and that’s just [...]
I recently had the chance to interview Perfumista Denise Estrada on her new store, Melange, in Sherman Oaks, California. 70 + fragrances and essential oils are readily available to sniff, blend and play with. Blend to your heart’s content to create body oil, exfoliating wash, bath salts, and eau de parfum, [...]
I have been in my garden all weekend, turning the soil, making a new compost pile, weeding and watering and combatting the weird bushes that are trying to take down my apple trees. Despite these horrible mangrove type bushes twising around them, trying to bring them down, my little apple trees are sprouting pretty little [...]

A beauty blog fairytale...
Once upon a time, not too long ago, a lady was tired of talking heads that didn't get her lifestyle. She longed for one place where she could record her thoughts on the many wonderful products that came into her life and made it better (or worst).
Far from obsessive, cosmetics are only an enhancement to an already full fruitful life.
Originally inspired by the tea she drank and steeped constantly, now the best part of waking up is a steamy, frothy espresso. So she may be a little fickle with her beverages!
Steeping Beauty has a soft spot for all things beautiful.
- skincare
- fragrance
- hair care
- nails
As well as all things culturally significant to her favorite far far away lands... France, Brazil, Japan, USA. Let's see where this less than perfect princess will step...
xoxo
