How true is that? I just picked up my copy of this book, Change Your Shoes, Change Your Life by Susan Reynolds at Big Lots for $3. I bought it a week ago while wearing my red Havaiana flip flops I got in Chicago and never took off. If you remember, I live in Maine [...] I received The Little Black Book of Style by Nina Garcia on Friday and haven’t been able to put it down! Nina Garcia is the fashion director of Elle Magazine and maybe you’ve seen her on Project Runway? I’ve been carrying it around by hand and in my purse, it’s gone in the car and back [...] Am I the only one? Every September I go crazy at the checkout! I try my best to keep looking straight ahead but my eyes keep meandering towards the covers, what tips and info can I glean from all those pages! eyes, lips, face, some new panel to join! Any other time of year I may [...] I just found the Complete Beauty Bible today at the thrift store. It looks chock full of information, it’s dubbed, “the Ultimate Guide to Smart Beauty”. If anyone else has it out there we can do a book club. I saw Teri Hatcher on Oprah promoting this book Burnt Toast a while back. Ever since I’ve been combing the thrifts looking for it. The theme, as Hatcher described it, fits totally with the whole being last and taking the least desirable (burnt toast) for oneself while giving the best to everyone else. I [...] |
