Sinfully soft feet is a year round undertaking. Don’t get too comfy in those bulky boots, soon it will be time to show off those heels again. Unfortunately, left on their own, I have terribly calloused feet. I don’t like to wear shoes, if I had the guts I would be barefoot 24/7.

Living in the North East makes that impossible but I somehow have renewed hope of keeping my heels in the best shape possible since I’ve found… Angelfeet Pedicure Files. I love that the file is one solid piece of steel. No funky grooves or removable plates to deal with. I also like that it’s rust proof. NO rusty residue in my shower. I’m loving the size, the mini version foot file fits perfectly in my hand and is easy to store.

There are four files available, all are double sided with coarse and fine on each side, I always start on coarse and end with fine. Angelfeet professional is meant for technicians. Angelfeet Mini is great for consumers. I have the mini pro 1 but the main difference between the mini pro 1 and mini pro 2 is the shape of the file. I like the rounded paddle, seems like I’m getting more coverage at one time.

Let me know what you think and check out all the foot files at Best Foot File.

You could get the same effect with a terry cloth shower cap BUT the Tassi is so much easier to use! Just pull it down and then back up! If your hair is long just flip into the back of the Tassi. I know you’re thinking why didn’t I think of that!

I’ve been using mine every night since I got it to wash my face. I need to get another one for the gym. I HAVE to wash my face before leaving the gym, even if I don’t take a shower, my pores get enlarged and I look flushed. Washing my face after exercise neutralizes everything a bit and helps shrink my pores.

I highly recommend the TASSI, a great gift for any lady you know! BUY for only $14.99 per Tassi! Keep your hair outta there…

What’s the biggest dust collector in your make up repertoire? Brushes are designed to apply whatever is on them so if you have a layer of dust on your brush and then you apply to your skin, you are effectively putting that stuff on your face – not a good thing. Brushes have got to be cleaned well and often to ensure you’re not applying things to your skin you don’t want.

I like to clean the brush part about once a month now, I used to do this more often but now I draw the line at a month, that seems reasonable and responsible. I’ve used Cetaphil, baby shampoo and specialized make up brush cleaners. I didn’t notice a real difference with the more expensive make up brush cleaners. Cleansers are basically the same in my experience so try out using something you already have on one of your brushes as a test.

Lather up the soap and try to go through all the hairs of your brush, rinse and repeat a few times making sure there isn’t a drop of soap on your brush. If you have a cheaper brush there is a risk of the glue coming apart so don’t use very hot water. To dry the brush, the best thing to do is hang it bristles down, squeeze out the excess water. A rubber band on the handle is the best way to acheive this, just hang on a doorknob. In this way you will avoid water settling on the glue or in the base near the handle.

It will take a while for your brushes to dry so make sure you have a back up if need be. Another thing I’ve done in the past is put my brushes in a ziploc and put them in the freezer for 2 days. This freezer sanitizing method will not take the make up out of your brush but it will kill any microbes or dust mites. Also take a minute to sanitize your make up handles once in a while. As with everything else, test these methods on your particular brushes with your least used brush. Happy cleaning.
