There are two Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques to chose from at Disney World, Cinderella’s Castle and Downtown Disney.  We chose the Cinderella’s Castle location at the Magic Kingdom.  We were greeted by Fairy Godmothers-in-Training that attended to our every need. 

The Bibbidi Bobbidi offers girls 3+ the chance to be pampered and dolled up. This is a beauty blog for women and women love to dress up so I thought someone out there might find this inspiring for themselves or a little girl out there.  There are three packages to choose from, for about $50 you can get a hairstyle and nails polished.  This is great if you’re bringing your own costume and are going to purchase all your Disney photopass pictures on cd ($125) so you can print out wherever you like.

You can also choose your hairstyle… Choices are Fairy-tale Princess, Disney Diva and Pop Princess.  Since it was our first time we opted for the full Castle Package and girl2004 chose the Fairy-tale Princess hairstyle.  This is what comes in the Castle package, I put the retail value.  We paid $202 + $10 tip for the Fairy Godmother-in-Training.

Count on an hour for just the hairstyle or 2 hours if you’re getting the pictures taken as it’s in another building and another hour on top of that if you try to pick up the pictures the same day!!  We were lucky to walk in to pick up pictures during a lull but people behind us must have waited at least an hour.

The rest of the day was a fairy tale for the girls, everywhere we went people stopped us to ask her questions.  The street sweepers stopped and bowed, the bus driver made an announcement to the effect of, “attention passengers, please be on your best royal behavior, you are traveling with a Disney princess…”  EVERY single Disney employee we crossed paths with stopped dead in their tracks (I’m NOT kidding) to say, “hello Princess” and some bowed.  This is not to be missed. 

I’m seriously looking for extra work to finance our next trip!

Summer Air Travel – Beauty Baggie Builders

I started off at 4 in the morning, got to the airport and waited my two hours, I passed the time by re-reading The Little Prince and knitting a little bear for my girls.

I started off at 4 in the morning, got to the airport and waited my two hours, I passed the time by re-reading The Little Prince and knitting a little bear for my girls.

Plane was on time, took the E train to Times Square and started off with breakfast at 8:19 @ Yoshinoya… I didn’t even bother waiting for the Hello Kitty store this time – it is such a non-event, way too small and nothing interactive.

I headed up to check out David Letterman, sure enough there were free tickets to be had.  I love David Letterman, he’s not always that funny but he seems like a sweet guy which makes up for it.  I really hated the last taping I went to when Howard Stern was a guest.  I can’t stand Stern so I just sat without clapping but he crossed the line when he bad mouthed Oprah and I booed him mentally.

The Ed Sullivan theater (where Letterman tapes) and The Broadway Theater (The Color Purple) are right across the street from eachother.  When I got to The Broadway Theater I was surprised to see a line to buy rush tickets!  I got in line and scored the last 1/2 price ticket for the matinee!! woohoo

With hours to kill I strolled through the streets, I ended up at Rockefeller Plaza and got a glimpse of Al Roker and Marilu Henner on the Today Show.  It was just too cold to wait around and try to get an autograph so I got you with this picture.

I spent some time window shopping and getting a mani with Essie’s Sugar Daddy Pink nail polish just in time to grab a quick lunch and get to the theater.

After the play which I LOVED I had to run to the train to get down to 18th Street for the CEW event for Cosmetic Executive Women.  It was an amazing rush of product information, with 600+ vendors to manage it was organized chaos with clear sections for fragrance, sun, skin etc…   All the best brands were represented but my favorite thing was the water, with all the talking it was nice to toast to our succes with allure water.  There were hair blow outs, hand massages, eyebrow design and so much more.  All of this to help decide what the best products are, so stay tuned for lots of reviews…

Total Beauty was gracious enough to co-ordinate a get together afterwords so we could dish about products and life over delicious food.  Thanks so much guys, my day in New York was awesome!

My family and I have fully recovered from our wonderful trip to France in April.  We were there for two weeks without one drop of rain – great for us, but not so good for the dirty streets.

We spent one week in a small city about 2 hours from Paris, the second week we were guests at the Novotel Hotel on the rue Vaugirard.  It was very pleasant, great memories and lots of family fun.

 The best part, my husband and I got two nights off on our own.  One night we went to the Moulin Rouge.  It was really good, I haven’t been to this type of thing in years, but it was really fun to get out and do adult stuff.  The highlight for me was the can can number.  I think more of the show should be focused on this part as it is fun and entertaining.  The food was ok, the service really nice and the alone time divine!

Our second night out was a cruise on the Bateaux Parisienne… it was fantastic!! We got the window seats and had the middle menu option.  I don’t remember everything but the food was delicious, I got quite tipsy on this night with all the champagne and ran most of the way back to the hotel even though I didn’t know where I was going.  The highlight is seeing the Eiffel Tower at night, the boat launches from the foot of the tower.
