…last night so I didn’t do much blogging.  I have GOT to fill you guys in on the amazing people I met and the icing on the cake which was a celebrity guided tour of Los Angeles!! It was my favorite part of the weekend.  And by the way, STILL no camera cord so no pics!!!

Right now I’m off to watch boy2001 perform in a play, see you tonight…

The holidays are a busy time of year for most of us! there are countless errands to run, events to attend, people to talk to and so much more.   You already know the shampoo mantra, wash, rinse, repeat… now practice saying:

NO to some things, I know it’s easier said than done but it is necessary sometimes to say no to some events.  Don’t feel you have to make excuses.  Your time is valuable and there are only 24 hours in a day.

Prioritize and schedule something kids will enjoy too.  If an elaborate Holiday dinner was the plan, and you know your kids would be bored to tears, suggest a coffee/cream social, coffee for the adults and ice-cream for kids.  This will create a wonderful memory for your child as well as a chance to catch up with your friend without a lot of prep or fuss.  Re-distributing your holiday entertaining will give you a chance with many people with less stress on you and family.

Plan Ahead if you know you’ll be receiving gifts from people go ahead and address/stamp the thank-you cards ahead of time.  All you’ll have to do is supervise the writings and mail off ASAP.  This is a big one for me because the days seem to pass so quickly… Another thing is to plan for the unplanned by having some generic gifts for anyone who stops by with a gift you weren’t expecting… CD’s, DVD’s, gift cards, little boxes of mints.

If you do these three simple things you will have plenty of time to take care of yourself and those you love.  The holiday season is a wonderful time to get some things for yourself, soak in a bubble bath, lather lots of fabulous lotion or my favorite get a new body powder and destress
