How true is that? I just picked up my copy of this book, Change Your Shoes, Change Your Life by Susan Reynolds at Big Lots for $3.
I bought it a week ago while wearing my red Havaiana flip flops I got in Chicago and never took off. If you remember, I live in Maine and yes it is cold here, I just had NO inspiration to go shoe shopping for fall shoes. I kept telling myself as long as I cover my legs and arms my toes can show. I do take pretty good care of my feet so why not?
After reading this book it became painfully obvious I needed a shoe make over and I couldn’t be my ultimate fabulous while wearing flip flops during mud season.
I went to DSW and hit the actual in season shoes, I am a clearance junky, so I picked up several summer shoes as a preventative measure. I ended up with a high heeled black velvet faux booty (heel exposed) by Vanelli. Just the plain act of wearing heels has changed the way I walk again, you just move differently in heels, in fact I’m strutting again and I feel so much more like my old self! Coincidentally the tag line of the book is: “Strut Your Way to a Fabulous New You!” so wether you are starting on a new path or getting back on an old familiar one – this book will provide some inspiration.
