Most people realize when the weather is hot that they should drink. But hydration is important year round. Especially for those of us who live in the northeast where the heat is on and the air is dry and we may not get our fill of juicy fruits.
As you may have realized, tea is a favorite beverage of mine. It will warm your body up and hydrate your skin.
If you’re not crazy about teas, you could just add tea to the other things you do like! Tea can easily be added to soups or stews. You can also use tea for your rice, expect it to turn brown of course.
In addition to tea, you could also flavor your water. Try flavoring with any herbs you have around… mint and basil are my favorites to use. Squeeze your favorite citrus (lemon, lime or orange) into a gallon jug of water — nothing could be easier than that!
Love those pomegranite fraps at Starbucks… I know I do, try to make one at home… even Walmart is carrying Pom juice now! Not available where you live? Just buy it online at Amazon! Blend the juice and tea with a little ice and voila… Pomegranite Frappe.
Just don’t forget to drink in the winter, it is a beauty/health must!
