The winner of the Sex and The City Soundtrack and $25 Fandango.com Gift Certificate has graciously agreed to a mini-interview right here on Steeping Beauty.  Here ye, here ye, come one come all, it is my distinct pleasure to present to you Miss Whoever You Are aka Eileen!!

Steeping Beauty: Tell us about yourself and what made you start blogging?

I always wanted to blog but I figured who would really sit there and listen (well read) what I had to say. Plus I couldn’t think of a cute title…silly I know. But I was watching “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and towards the end of the movie, Paul tells Holly  what is the most memorable thing ever (You know what’s wrong with you, Miss Whoever-You-Are? You’re chicken.) and I decided to just go ahead and do this for me rather than what worry about what people wanted/ thought. Plus I wanted to read a beauty blog that had some tips for African American women and not necessarily be JUST for African American women. I’m glad I did because now I met several communities of people obsessed (if not more) with the same things.
Steeping Beauty: What are your favorite beauty products?

I absolutely can’t live without Rosebud Salve for my lips. People hate this and I don’t understand why. Also mascara is a must for me (TooFaced Lash Injection or Dior Blackout…). Another must have would be my mom’s Tresor perfume-it started my obsession with makeup and fragrance. I recently fell in love with blush but we’ll see how long that lasts (Lorac Blush in Crimson)
Steeping Beauty: Do you have a beauty routine?

Well I always use cleanser (Peter Thomas Roth’s Chamomile Cleansing Lotion) then follow up with an oil free moisturizer (Clean & Clear Oil Free Dual Action Moisturizer). Skin care is pretty basic since those two product works wonders for my oily/acne prone skin. Than I normally do my makeup which is usually pressed powder ( Iman Perfect Response Oil-Blotting Pressed Powder), eyeliner (MaxFactor), mascara, lip gloss, and blush. I might do a little eye shadow action here and there but I’m normally late so I do what I can (I value my under paying job) =)

Steeping Beauty: Have you seen the Sex and the City Movie yet?

OF COURSE!!! Opening night in a theatre filled with estrogen

Steeping Beauty: You won the Sex and the City Soundtrack, what’s your favorite song?

I absolutely love Fergie’s remix of the theme (Labels or Love) and New York Girls by Morningwood. But the best would prob be “How Deep Is Your Love” I love that song (reminds me of when I used to hang out with my dad when I was little and he’d play all these old school songs and I’d make fun of him…”awww…” I know) and it’s good to hear people try to re-do it lol

Steeping Beauty: You also won a $25 gift certificate to Fandango.com, what are your plans to spend it?

I’m obviously going to see SATC again. And maybe go see “The Strangers” to get scared to death (and I’m semi-obsessed with Liv Tyler)

Make sure to check out Eileen’s superb blog Miss Whoever-You-Are and since you mentioned Liv Tyler I’ll have to admit the same thing! if you still like her after the annoying Lord of the Rings thing then you are true blue. I’m now loving her collaboration with Givenchy @ Sephora.

Thanks again Eileen, enjoy your prizes!!
