If you’ve been in any mass retailer or drug store you’ve surely noticed Olay’s Pro X line. I know I saw the price tag a mile away and steered clear. Then I got the chance to try the kit and here’s my opinion. Generally speaking the products were pleasant enough to use. There are three parts to Olay’s anti-aging protocol:
- age repair lotion with SPF 30
- wrinkle smoothing lotion (night creme)
- eye restoration complex (use 2x day, AM + PM)
At first I got a tingly sensation when I put on the wrinkle smoothing night cream. Tingling is not necessarily a bad thing but I wasn’t expecting it at all for some reason. My first memories and experiences were with Oil of Olay so I find myself always expecting that mild, soothing experience when obviously Olay has moved on. It’s not particularly hydrating either, if I touch my face a few minutes after application it feels dry like there’s just a layer of film on my skin. Maybe that’s just because of the very harsh cold weather I’ve lived through this winter.

The eye restoration complex is simple to use, just apply around the eyes twice a day. I haven’t noticed any noticeable difference while using. The last part of the protocol is the most important and the one I’m mostly likely to skip when I run out the door in the morning…
The age repair lotion with SPF 30 is possibly the best part of the protocol. It glides on but once again it didn’t provide enough moisture for my liking so I was constantly tempted to apply something else. Of course if you’re putting on makeup you may want a matte under layer but I like to keep my makeup dewey when possible so although I like the feel of the product application I would like dewey-er effects on my face.
There’s nothing particularly wrong with these products but there’s nothing particularly great about them. Olay has done the best thing possible in creating the protocol to give a nice smidgeon of opportunity to try these products without buying full sizes and for that I give them credit.

Hey Delphine!
I saw this line too, but I am reluctant on trying. Thanks for giving your review on this one. I was shocked to hear about this one from Olay. I guess it is good to have some anti aging products at affordable pricing too.
I hope that you are doing well. I finally got my blogging mojo back, lol
Hugs,
Natasha
