I’ve been using this for a few days and really like it.  I can for sure use some rejuvenating this time of year, it’s been such a long winter.  I’ve been wearing the serum under my night cream and day lotions with SPF.  Positively Ageless makes my skin feel soft and moisturized.  Use it alone on rain and snow days if you will be indoors because it has no SPF.

The scent is fresh and clean, I feel so spring-y! Once I read it would visibly reduce lines and wrinkles, I made sure to put lots on my brow to reduce those “angry mommy face” lines.  So far I don’t have any other wrinkles to speak of.  Positively Ageless is part of Aveeno’s Active Naturals and uses a rejuvenating shiitake complex in a pump bottle.

AVEENO is celebrating leap year 2008 by releasing the results of a  study about what women would do with an extra day…

Here are some of the findings the study revealed:

• AVEENO® found that 65% percent of American women confess to skimping on beauty, spending 30 minutes or less on their beauty rituals each day.      
•  However, more than 3 in 5 women admitted they wished they had an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, and 1/3 declared they would spend more than 30 minutes on beauty or grooming rituals with this extra day.  
•  But not surprisingly, moms were the group most likely to wish for an extra day in the year to spend on themselves, with a whopping 73% saying they would love an extra day.  
• AVEENO® also found that if given an extra day in the year, nearly ½ of all women admitted they would indulge in extra sleep or pampering rituals in the comfort of their own home.  This is good news because as you sleep, your skin cells actually renew themselves so skin is most receptive to renewal, so if you are using a night cream, such as the new Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Night Cream, you are actually doing double duty!

I am on board with all of these findings.  I can use some more sleep for sure and some more “me” time.  Leap Year seems like as good a time as any.

I’ve always taken my skin for granted, regular cleansing, bit of moisturizing and plenty of water is about all I’ve needed.  I didn’t understand the physical discomfort dry skin causes until my son, boy2001, started getting really dry winter skin.

I gave him more fluids, tried scrubbing him, moisturizing him, nothing worked!

My son has really dry skin, his knees hit little elbows take a beating every winter.  This year has been even worst because he’s in school loooooong days, not drinking enough water and having recess in the snow.  (I’d really like him to revert back into the little baby boy that I cuddled with all day every day for 4 years).Anyway, I’ve been using Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief Moisturizing Cream on him and it’s really helped.  I don’t think it’s cured the problem but it’s made it much more comfortable for him.  I didn’t use it on Saturday and he scratched himself terribly.

Aveeno Skin Relief is made with natural colloidal oatmeal, shea butter and cooling menthol, the best part it is cheap and comes in big tubs that are conducive to slathering lots of it on.  He likes this because it smells like “man stuff”… it has a very light menthol scent which seems to comfort him.   I would definately recommend it to anyone with dry skin.
