T3 Tourmaline Twirl! 1.0 The Curls Spring Straight into Summer

June 4th, 2008 · No Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Those Curls sure do Spring you Straight into Summer! you may be curling pretty to attend graduation, the prom, a wedding or maybe you want to look good for the family bbq.  Regardless if it’s a special or ordinary day this Spring/Summer Season is the perfect time to experiment.

Curls can take you anywhere and I’m sure I’m speaking the truth when I say you can’t kill the curl.  It’s nice to go straight once in a while with a flat iron but sooner or later the curl springs back.Stick Straight Hair

Curls can be sweet a la Shirley Temple or big, bouncy, sassy a la –insert any female celeb, like Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, Madonna–  sooner or later they want those big, bouncy curls atop their heads and demand to get them better and with as little damage to the hair as possible.  Now we’ve got a whole new range of curling irons that will curl without damage.

So you understand I love my curls but there are other times I crave straight, sliky hair and that’s usually in the heat of summer.  Here’s a picture of me with stick straight hair, thanks to a flat iron!  It wasn’t summer as you can tell by the coat!

If you’re going to straighten, I would recommend using a ceramic flat iron, I have a pink T3 that I love but of course I’m dying to try the new wet-to-dry flat irons because I can use those extra minutes to sleep in.  There are a lot of other choices like temperature settings and size of the plates to factor in so it’s nice to look at a lot of different flat irons before you decide on which would be best for you.

Compare prices everywhere you shop online and factor in that Misikko offers Free 2-day shipping (on $50+) and right now you can get a free heat-proof pad with every flat iron purchase.

I got the T3 Twirl! and love it!  there are 4 heat settings, 140 degrees to 410 degrees.  I generally use the 230 but love the effects of the 370, I have very fine hair so it’s easy to curl but I like using a tool that is ceramic ionic and has Tourmaline crystals because I don’t smell that burning dog hair type of smell that I get with cheaper quality tools.  I just wish it were pink!!

Consider Curling in the Spring and going Straight in the Summer and no matter what you do keep on coming back and eventually I will find my camera cord and will show you pretty curls and straight style.

P.S. does anyone know where I am in the picture?

Make UP BAG confessions

Here are most of the products I brought along on my trip to LA.  Some remained off camera but you get the idea.  My favorites are the Smokey Rose pallette by POP Beauty (I’ll review soon) because I can make up my whole face with it and my afterglow mascara and kabuki brush in that little silver pouch.  All of the others deserve and honorable mention, the pink T3 iron and Global Goddess South Pacific Shimmer and another favorite (I have to come up with a new word — too many faves!!) Lancome Christopher Kane Juicy Tube!  I’ve got to run, toodles…

T3 Hair - Fast and Full

T3 Featherweight Bespoke Labs

Admission: I am a flat haired girl.  My hair is thin and if I don’t blowdry it upside down it’s flat and all over my face.

NO MORE! since I got my T3 Featherweight I’ve been drying up a storm.  I don’t know why I held back, this is totally worth the price it commands.  Not only is it FAST it’s light!  What I really like about drying with a T3 is I don’t smell that horrible burning hair smell I used to get.  You may be immune to the smell so ask someone you trust to smell your hair after you dry your hair to be sure.

Since you’re drying faster and less time there’s less chance to damage your hair.  I would compare the Featherweight’s weight to a travel dryer.  Unlike a travel dryer it will fit comfortably with a nice full handle to hold onto and mega drying power.

Don’t forget, the T3 Featherweight ships FREE @ Sephora

FAST Facts about the T3 Featherweight:

-1800-watt and still manages to weight less than 1 pound!
-Two speed settings, be sure to blast some cool air at the end to set.
-Negative ions get your hair smooth- avoid that frizzy electricuted look.
-The only dryer with a true ceramic heater - impressive isn’t it?

Stay tuned for three more T3 Product Reviews this week!

Hot Air: Time for me to Blow It

January 26th, 2008 · No Comments

tourmaline.jpgI just realized that I’ve had the same hair dryer for 7 years.  I remember the day I bought it @ the Walmart 3 towns over I was huge pregnant with boy2001 (as a side note I won’t type “pregg*rs” when you’ve been pregnant 3 times it’s just not that cuters).

Back to my seven year old hair dryer - it’s a burgundy Vidal Sasson, cost $17 which I thought was pricey but I wanted to “treat” myself - at the time there wasn’t anything I was aware of that was much better.

I use my hair dryer 4 times a week on average.  Not every time I wash my hair but often enough.  I have all these rituals around my hair dryer, I clean the little vent thing with a brush outside and I’ve put the vacuum up to the vent to get the dust out.  All in an effort to get the thing hotter and to dry my hair faster.

I’ve been fighting off temptation to get a T3 but it seems I may just have to blow it, my refund check that is and indulge myself in hot air.  The T3 boasts “60% faster drying time than conventional dryers and controls the frizz, improves the shine and delivers healthy-looking, well-conditioned hair.”  I definately want some of that for me and my girls.

There are several different models to choose from but I’m most interested in the T3 Bespoke Labs Featherweight so it won’t be so heavy on my arms, I don’t need a workout every time I want to dry some strands and most times I am doing three heads of hair.  The Featherweight is a marvel, it infuses tourmaline into the ceramic componentry which creates the maximum negative ions which means…

…NO static electricity, shorter drying time and shinier, sleeker hair.  The more I blog about these dryers the more I want one!
