Not exactly a beauty book but so much fun and informative! I had to make sure you knew about it. Robyn Moreno’s, Practically Posh, delivers tips and tricks with style most ladies can attain. Not for the snooty pants among us, this is a book for the real life women who want to know [...]
Jessica Biel on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’ August edition looking beautiful in a gown from the Calvin Klein Collection. Dancing with Designers is a spin on the show, Dancing with the Stars. Nice way for a magazine to tie into what’s hot on tv. The spread includes pics of:
Biel & Diane von Furstenberg [...]
I love when companies encourage people to do great things (declutter and share)! Kiehl’s freestanding stores will not only be a great place to get your sun care needs met, it will also be a great place to swap a book! From June 24 through Labor Day 2008, visit a Kiehl’s freestanding store, drop off a well-read [...]
Different Like Coco by Elizabeth Matthews (2007)
I’ve read this book at least 20 times in the last week, girl2004 LUVS this book so much. It’s a great introduction to Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s design and her life, a true inspiration she surmounted terrible odds. Some things are left unanswered, I would have liked to know [...]
8 Simple Steps to an Earth-Friendly Life
Gorgeously Green is a beauty book to encourage you to make one simple change, that’s all it takes to make a difference! If you make two it’s even better. Sophie Uliano gives you 8 steps to work towards an earth-friendly life. Personally, I want to have a sustainable life with [...]
I’ve been tearing through this book, Passport to Beauty, by Shalini Vadhera. It is such an inspiration to me and, it’s just what I’ve been wanting to do for this blog. I come from a multi-national background (Brazilian dad, French mom, Cuban babysitter, Guyanese best friend, etc…)
One thing all my extended family, friends and acquaintances have [...]

A beauty blog fairytale...
Once upon a time, not too long ago, a lady was tired of talking heads that didn't get her lifestyle. She longed for one place where she could record her thoughts on the many wonderful products that came into her life and made it better (or worst).
Originally inspired by the tea she drank and steeped constantly, now the best part of waking up is a steamy, frothy espresso. So she may be a little fickle with her beverages!
Steeping Beauty has a soft spot for all things beautiful.
- skincare
- fragrance
- hair care
- nails
As well as all things culturally significant to her favorite far far away lands... France, Brazil, Japan, USA. Let's see where this less than perfect princess will step...
xoxo
