I’m sooooooooooooooooooo MAD, sold out of Lancome Werbowy Color Fever

June 17th, 2008 · 6 Comments

Lancome Color Fever Lipstick Daria Werbowy  *********Update*********** this color IS available @ Sephora.com

The Daria Werbowy collection I talked about earlier has been a big hit for Lancome which is great for them and Centro Espacial but horrible for me.

I knew they were selling out fast and checked two days ago on the website and I believe both the Color Fever Lipstick in Beige Caracaï and Color Fever Gloss Sensual Vibrant Lipshine were in stock! Now the Lipstick is out of stock! oooh I’m soooo mad, you just don’t know how much I can’t stand when something is out.  I really wanted that color bad.

Make sure to go through www.mypoints.com when ordering from www.Lancome.com  you get 2000 points per month and usually a free sample collection. 2000 mypoints is about ($14).

I’m really trying to be patient but this is killing me!

Lancôme Creates Brazilian Inspired Collection

June 10th, 2008 · No Comments

Lancome Daria Werbowy France Brazil connection

International beauty is one of my many interests, especially the fusion of France and Brazil.  Being Frazilian myself I love seeing  Lancôme being inspired by the many colors of Brazil.  The connection came in when Daria Werbowy, supermmodel and Lancôme spokesperson, visited Rio and met up with Vic Muniz of Centro Espacial.  The Centro Espacial encourages art education.  Daria was impressed, and pitched a Brazilian inspired collection to Lancôme that would benefit the center.

I immediately ran out to the Lancôme counter to check it out but when they had no idea what I was talking about (don’t worry, I did pick up some other goodies!)  After looking over the email I realized my enthusiasm got me so dizzy I didn’t bother to read that the collection is only available @ sephora.com, Lancome Boutiques and Lancome USA.

Kudos to Daria on the idea, I’m thrilled about the color palette being in earthy tones.  Very wearable, chic and elegant.  Check out the Video The Daria collection includes:

Color Fever Lipstick in Beige Caracaï, $26.00

Color Fever Gloss in Nude Prainha, $24.00

Color Design Eye Shadow Quad in Carnet de Velours, $45.00

I’m going to place my order tonight so I will keep you posted!

Make UP BAG confessions

Here are most of the products I brought along on my trip to LA.  Some remained off camera but you get the idea.  My favorites are the Smokey Rose pallette by POP Beauty (I’ll review soon) because I can make up my whole face with it and my afterglow mascara and kabuki brush in that little silver pouch.  All of the others deserve and honorable mention, the pink T3 iron and Global Goddess South Pacific Shimmer and another favorite (I have to come up with a new word — too many faves!!) Lancome Christopher Kane Juicy Tube!  I’ve got to run, toodles…

What were you doing in 1991? Lancôme Définicils mascara

April 16th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Lancome Defincils Mascara

Lancôme introduced Définicils mascara in 1991, can you believe that?  Where does the time go?  At the time I was attending college in New York and didn’t have a dime to spare on fancy mascara.  My experience comes from a summer in Paris, I think everyone in my family fully expected me to make something fabulash out of myself, so I had to get the “right French” in my head and they sent me to what would be the absolute worst experience in my whole life - EVER - L’Alliance Francaise. Why was it terrible, I was in this fab city, first off I got lost c-o-n-s-a-n-t-l-y and was sitting with all these ”old” studious people who really wanted to be there (remember I was 19 at the time).  Looking back it was incredibly dumb, I was proabably sitting next to futures heads of state from every corner of the earth.  But it was so painful, learning obscure French from an ancient man with 0 personality lecture style.   His main point of contention with me seemed to be that I was 1/2 French and didn’t speak well enough for him, he was much more lenient on the pure “foreigner” or at least that’s how I saw it.

Of course I ended up cutting a lot of class and hanging out with new found friends at the brasseries, this was super dangerous and I ended up getting “caught” a couple of times by my aunts.  There were some hard feelings all around but they still stuffed my suitcase with lots of goodies!

Being incredibly chic Parisiennes they couldn’t resist shopping with me as their muse.  The most memorable things were several Cacharel bras and panties, Guerlain compact and lipsticks, Chanel polish, jade jewelry, outfits from Galleries la Fayette, NAF NAF T-shirts and backpack, Chipie and Kookai jeans and sweaters with a gorgeous Le Dropt Briefcase that I still sport, and of course a tube of  Lancôme mascara!

To be totally honest I have no idea which kind of mascara it was but for this post we’ll assume it was Définicils.  Just hearing Définicils sparked all these memories so that should be good enough, besides it doesn’t matter if you speak French or not to wear it! More than 25 million units of Définicils have been sold, the choice of chic women and discerning make up artists everywhere. You may already know the formula but now there’s a new application tool, ”The High Precision™ brush, with its soft rubber bristles, deposits just the right amount of product for optimum separation and no clumps.” So what are you waiting for? don’t go through what I did to try it.

The Définicils Family
*Définicils: Straight brush coats lashes evenly, from base to tips, for a perfectly defined and separated look.
*Définicils Pro: Curved brush deposits more product at the root of the lash for a fuller look.
*High Définicils: Soft rubber brush offers effortless glide for individually separated and lengthened look.

Retails for $23.95 www.lancome-usa.com, specialty stores, the five Lancôme boutiques and counters nationwide.

Lancome Juicy Tubes World Tour w/Christopher Kane

March 31st, 2008 · No Comments

Christopher Kane Juicy TubesFor sure you know Lancome and Juicy Tubes, but you may not be familiar with Christopher Kane, may I admit I wasn’t?  He’s relatively new to the designer landscape, before graduating Central St. Martins he participated and won top prizes in the Lancome Color Design Awards - TWICE.  Then he won the Harrod’s Award for Design which all led him to wild acclaim and kudos for his Spring 2007 fashion show.  Style.com said the show “zings with amazing new energy and optimism”.  Kane’s an international sensation it seems, someone we’re sure to see lots more of!  He’s a favorite designer of Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.

Now he’s touring the world promoting his latest creation, a collaboration with Lancome to create their best Juicy Tubes shades yet.  If you’ve never tried Juicy Tubes, you’ve got to! it is an absolute MUST, if you’re not convinced, head to your nearest counter to test immediately.  Juicy Tubes retail for $18 and are worth every penny, I can seriously recommend to anyone, anywhere.  The shine is just so perfect, it’s not sticky like other glosses and appropriate for any situation, I can even see serious girls heading to work with this on because it’s not at all an in-your-face type of gloss, it’s understated gloss that is elegant.  Now it is fuzed with classy vibrant designs you’d only see on the most glamourous women from around the world, note the amazing names.

Christopher Kane Lancome Juicy Tubes New Christopher Kane Juicy Tube Collection:

*Red Hot New York (perfect red gloss)

*Fifth Avenue Frosting

*Copacabana Coffee

*Rio Mango

*Grand Café Crème Brûlée

*Moulin Rose

*Paris Bubbly

*Tokyo Plum Blossom

*Peach Mochi

Get your Christopher Kane Juicy Tubes at counters nation-wide, online @ lancome-usa.com  I can’t help but get visions of beauty-full women all over Japan, Brazil, France and New York - coincidentally my four favorite places in the world!  I also love the muses on the tubes, gorgeous.

Lancome’s Pixel Pink Vid on YouTube

February 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Got three minutes? be inspired by Thakoon’s fashions and Lancome’s Pixel Pink Lipstick (Pout-a-Porter the 4th).

Pixel Pink on Youtube

The video is very entertaining, lots of Thakoon’s Spring 2008 runway footage.  Did you hear the part where Thakoon says it will compliment tan skin?

I’m thinking I might give this one a chance after all…  I’m changing my position from casual, if it falls in my lap I will try it stance, to ‘I must go out and get Pixel Pink’!!  One warning, you may crave apple pie after viewing.

Lancome Aqua Fusion Moisturizer

February 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Lancome Aqua Fusion

What wouldn’t I do for a great gift with purchase?  Luckily this time the gwp was for a brand I love and I only had to buy one product at a great price.  In return I got the the lovely cosmetic bags with Eiffel Tower zipper pulls, and all the little goodies of course.

Lancome’s Aqua Fusion with SPF 15 is designed for normal/combination skins.  When you pump it out the scent is so soothing and spring-y that it totally makes me forget we have a projected 12 inches of snow heading for my area.  There’s no oil in this product, light and easily absorbed. It is fresh and calming, sure to make another appearance on my bathroom shelves.
