Isn’t that the cutest thing you ever heard of, teddy bear hair?! totally synthetic, cruelty free… I love love love it!
“All the glamour and glitz of fur without the heartache. Each brush was created using the luxurious synthetic hair, which Too Faced founder, Jerrod Blandino, helped develop called “teddy bear hair.” This state-of-the-art fiber feels identical to the soft and silky smooth hair of real animals without the cruelty involved in making traditional “animal hair” brushes.
Set includes: Powder Brush, Fluff Brush, Angled Eye Shadow Brush, Angled Liner/Brow Brush, and a Small Crease Brush in a pink metallic brush/makeup bag.”
When I’m up for new make up brushes, this is going to be it! There are to many cosmetic companies out there making animal hair brushes and it’s totally uncalled for, they need to get the message. Synthetic brushes are excellent for applying makeup.
Brush Faux Pas
During the Total Beauty summit I asked a presenter if their brushes were cruelty free and was told that animals were brushed and the hair was collected from the brush to create their brushes (did you follow that?)
ummm, sorry, don’t buy it. I’m sure the company in question means well but I don’t trust for one minute that the hair is being collected in a humane manner when no one is looking… I’m sure I’m paranoid but it seems much safer to use synthetic and be sure that no animals are being abused to get their fur. In addition to that did the animals that are being brushed consent to this procedure and use of their fur? what is their everyday life like? do they get to play and roam or in tiny little cages that stink? If nothing else it’s animal exploitation for “beauty’s” sake and not something I’m interested in at this point in my life.

Too Faced has won my heart with this cute little pocket palette! It fits in the palm of your hand. I can’t stop opening and closing it, looking at it and dabbing some lip color, looking in the mirror - repeat, look, repeat.
6 lip glosses and 4 eyeshadows with adorable little brushes. The make up itself is passable. The lip glosses were a disappointment, none of them showed up on me and had a faint scent to ‘em (perhaps vanilla?) The shadows are worth getting to and make the set worth taking on vacation or in your purse because of the tiny size. Truth be told the cuteness of the set at this price point make it totally worth it. I can’t wait to run through the makeup and refill with my favorite glosses!

The end of a happy week, and it’s all because I love my makeup! Through the sweaty heat and thunderous rain my makeup made me feel sunny and bright. My first makeup layer, Stila’s Illuminating Liquid Foundation. Then a thin coating of Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder to set and help retain moisture.
Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder is lightweight and translucent so all skin-tones can wear it! It’s triple milled so it’s velvety soft, anti-aging peptides and neuropeptides improve the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles.
The powder puff is a little wimpy but at the $31 price point very easy to look over, especially since I use my kabuki brush to apply. The compact package is gorgeous! shiny black and is used in a key scene in the “Get Smart” movie, I’m just wondering if it has a telephone in it?!
Even KAOS could not keep the key ingredients of Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder a secret! The compact is available exclusively on QVC and we now have the information that powerful anti-aging peptides come together to create a pressed powder that will fast become your favorite. Press relief briefing uncovered the details…
- SYN-AKE Synthetic neuropeptide that mimics the wrinkle relaxing properties of an enzyme found in snake venom from the Brazilian Viper
- SYN-Coll Mimics the body’s own mechanism to produce collagen
- MATRIXYL 3000 - Collagen boosting dual-peptide that softens and smoothes the skin
- SNAP-8 - Neuropeptide that helps reduce the depth of wrinkles cause by facial expressions
- Argireline - Neuropeptide and Hexapeptide cocktail that prohibits muscles from contracting which prevents the formation of lines and wrinkles
Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care is a comprehensive collection of therapeutic skin treatments that use the most effective and potent ingredients. There are over 100 products available! which one is your favorite?

Wearing stila’s new Illuminating Liquid foundation has made me feel 30 watts brighter. It is the best foundation I’ve ever used — EVER. why? just when I was about to give up on liquid foundations, I find a light, medium coverage foundation that isn’t too tightening. Have you ever openend your mouth and your jaw felt super tight? - not going to happen with stila. It makes my skin look great and it’s comfortable!
Most importantly, the shade, 30 watts is perfect for my MAC NC35 complexion, even in the daylight. I also love the pump action of the frosted glass bottle, that’s right glass, NOT plastic. The foundation itself glides onto my skin, I LoVe the coverage. It’s described as sheer to medium coverage but it really covers up my hyperpigmentation so I would call it medium + coverage.
Ten Illuminating Liquid foundation shades are availabe from 10 t0 100 watts. My skin is looking near perfect, I’ll have some pics soon but I couldn’t wait any longer, this info had to get out! Have you had your lightbulb moment?
