Eye Shadow, do you? If you do, try Thevi’s eyeshadows available in gorgeous shades, I especially love dark brown, oatmeal and charcoal. Rich, crease-resistant color in adorable packaging that goes on smooth and shows up on your skin tone.
I’ve had this shadow banging around my purse for a couple of weeks and there are NO scratches on it! this is quite something considering all the junk I have in there believe me. Click on over to Thevi Cosmetics to see more makeup that shows up.

I was quite flattered to get the chance to review Thevi Cosmetics recently. Great makeup, the blush is awesome, applies wonderfully. As a bonus it contains Vitamins C & E to condition your skin. No mineral oil!
Once again a color that shows up on my suntanned skin. The product packaging is too cute, very slim and scratch resistant. Thevi will make you blush too, try the ‘hint of red’ or ‘whisper apricot’ for starters.
I love their slogan, “inner beauty made visible”… so true, when I’m wearing Thevi I look as good as I feel.

Lipsticks. One of these days I have to show you all my stash. Lipstick is probably my favorite cosmetic. Before I used skincare with any frequency or foundation I wore lipstick and mascara.
My philosophy is, a girl can’t have too many lip products! As I’m always on the prowl for new beauty stuff, I came across Thevi. Thevi is a new line created to show up on diverse skintones. The line gets it’s name from creator Thevaki Thambirajah. As a young professional, Thevaki couldn’t find cosmetics that would show up on her skin, so she decided to take matters into her own hands and make her own!
The result is a prestige brand of cosmetics in shades to suit many different skin tones. The product containment is, simply put, beautiful. A reflection of the care and quality of Thevi cosmetics.
I’ve been using Sequin which is a bronzy color, it’s gorgeous, I feel all grown up whenever I wear it. It’s a neutral shade but oh so full of color and pizaaz, it’s not a boring neutral, it’s great to wear out and about. An attention grabber… with so many women wearing pink and sheer gloss, bronze is that something special that everyone asks about.
High Impact Lipstick is for women who want to get noticed, like attention and know how to get it! Check out all Thevi’s beautiful lip colors and cosmetics.

I’ve been growing a little tired of the glossy lip look, I mean it’s pretty, but it’s nice to have a variety of looks in your makeup bag. NARS Pigalle is an excellent choice because it’s a mauve it goes with a lot of my outfits. Not too pink or too brown, it’s like the color of my lips naturally but amplified a bit, in fact it’s described as pink chocolate. I love it for every day wear. A matte lipstick that feels moist is not easy to find, most of the time you feel like you’ve eaten a bag of chalk by the end of the day! Worst yet, is when you LOOK live you’ve eaten a bag of chalk from all the overly drying matte. That’s why I love this semi-matte formula. Pigalle is color but in a discrete way, not too obvious or in your face. I’m sure it’s long lasting on normal people but I am constantly giving out kid kisses so I can’t vouch on that. Let me know if you give it a try!

Isn’t that the cutest thing you ever heard of, teddy bear hair?! totally synthetic, cruelty free… I love love love it!
“All the glamour and glitz of fur without the heartache. Each brush was created using the luxurious synthetic hair, which Too Faced founder, Jerrod Blandino, helped develop called “teddy bear hair.” This state-of-the-art fiber feels identical to the soft and silky smooth hair of real animals without the cruelty involved in making traditional “animal hair” brushes.
Set includes: Powder Brush, Fluff Brush, Angled Eye Shadow Brush, Angled Liner/Brow Brush, and a Small Crease Brush in a pink metallic brush/makeup bag.”
When I’m up for new make up brushes, this is going to be it! There are to many cosmetic companies out there making animal hair brushes and it’s totally uncalled for, they need to get the message. Synthetic brushes are excellent for applying makeup.
Brush Faux Pas
During the Total Beauty summit I asked a presenter if their brushes were cruelty free and was told that animals were brushed and the hair was collected from the brush to create their brushes (did you follow that?)
ummm, sorry, don’t buy it. I’m sure the company in question means well but I don’t trust for one minute that the hair is being collected in a humane manner when no one is looking… I’m sure I’m paranoid but it seems much safer to use synthetic and be sure that no animals are being abused to get their fur. In addition to that did the animals that are being brushed consent to this procedure and use of their fur? what is their everyday life like? do they get to play and roam or in tiny little cages that stink? If nothing else it’s animal exploitation for “beauty’s” sake and not something I’m interested in at this point in my life.

Too Faced has won my heart with this cute little pocket palette! It fits in the palm of your hand. I can’t stop opening and closing it, looking at it and dabbing some lip color, looking in the mirror - repeat, look, repeat.
6 lip glosses and 4 eyeshadows with adorable little brushes. The make up itself is passable. The lip glosses were a disappointment, none of them showed up on me and had a faint scent to ‘em (perhaps vanilla?) The shadows are worth getting to and make the set worth taking on vacation or in your purse because of the tiny size. Truth be told the cuteness of the set at this price point make it totally worth it. I can’t wait to run through the makeup and refill with my favorite glosses!

The end of a happy week, and it’s all because I love my makeup! Through the sweaty heat and thunderous rain my makeup made me feel sunny and bright. My first makeup layer, Stila’s Illuminating Liquid Foundation. Then a thin coating of Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder to set and help retain moisture.
Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder is lightweight and translucent so all skin-tones can wear it! It’s triple milled so it’s velvety soft, anti-aging peptides and neuropeptides improve the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles.
The powder puff is a little wimpy but at the $31 price point very easy to look over, especially since I use my kabuki brush to apply. The compact package is gorgeous! shiny black and is used in a key scene in the “Get Smart” movie, I’m just wondering if it has a telephone in it?!
Even KAOS could not keep the key ingredients of Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder a secret! The compact is available exclusively on QVC and we now have the information that powerful anti-aging peptides come together to create a pressed powder that will fast become your favorite. Press relief briefing uncovered the details…
- SYN-AKE Synthetic neuropeptide that mimics the wrinkle relaxing properties of an enzyme found in snake venom from the Brazilian Viper
- SYN-Coll Mimics the body’s own mechanism to produce collagen
- MATRIXYL 3000 - Collagen boosting dual-peptide that softens and smoothes the skin
- SNAP-8 - Neuropeptide that helps reduce the depth of wrinkles cause by facial expressions
- Argireline - Neuropeptide and Hexapeptide cocktail that prohibits muscles from contracting which prevents the formation of lines and wrinkles
Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care is a comprehensive collection of therapeutic skin treatments that use the most effective and potent ingredients. There are over 100 products available! which one is your favorite?

Wearing stila’s new Illuminating Liquid foundation has made me feel 30 watts brighter. It is the best foundation I’ve ever used — EVER. why? just when I was about to give up on liquid foundations, I find a light, medium coverage foundation that isn’t too tightening. Have you ever openend your mouth and your jaw felt super tight? - not going to happen with stila. It makes my skin look great and it’s comfortable!
Most importantly, the shade, 30 watts is perfect for my MAC NC35 complexion, even in the daylight. I also love the pump action of the frosted glass bottle, that’s right glass, NOT plastic. The foundation itself glides onto my skin, I LoVe the coverage. It’s described as sheer to medium coverage but it really covers up my hyperpigmentation so I would call it medium + coverage.
Ten Illuminating Liquid foundation shades are availabe from 10 t0 100 watts. My skin is looking near perfect, I’ll have some pics soon but I couldn’t wait any longer, this info had to get out! Have you had your lightbulb moment?

International beauty is one of my many interests, especially the fusion of France and Brazil. Being Frazilian myself I love seeing Lancôme being inspired by the many colors of Brazil. The connection came in when Daria Werbowy, supermmodel and Lancôme spokesperson, visited Rio and met up with Vic Muniz of Centro Espacial. The Centro Espacial encourages art education. Daria was impressed, and pitched a Brazilian inspired collection to Lancôme that would benefit the center.
I immediately ran out to the Lancôme counter to check it out but when they had no idea what I was talking about (don’t worry, I did pick up some other goodies!) After looking over the email I realized my enthusiasm got me so dizzy I didn’t bother to read that the collection is only available @ sephora.com, Lancome Boutiques and Lancome USA.
Kudos to Daria on the idea, I’m thrilled about the color palette being in earthy tones. Very wearable, chic and elegant. Check out the Video The Daria collection includes:
Color Fever Lipstick in Beige Caracaï, $26.00
Color Fever Gloss in Nude Prainha, $24.00
Color Design Eye Shadow Quad in Carnet de Velours, $45.00
I’m going to place my order tonight so I will keep you posted!
