Redpoint Rejuvenating Bronzing Silk Product Review

Redpoint Face BronzerRedpoint’s Rejuvenating Bronzing Silk comes in a gorgeous red compact.  I love the weight of it, luxury, finery whatever you call the things you love, this is it.  I’ve used the bronzing powder a few times for the purpose of this test but truth be told, I generally use bronzing powder in the dead of winter when I haven’t gotten any sun rays.

This comes from working for some rich ladies during my time in NYC.  They always looked pale in the summer, like they’d been spending all their summer time on a covered porch or air conditioned museum.  Just a hint of just pinched color on their cheeks.

In the winter, these same women looked sun kissed and golden from cruises and lavish, tropical trips.  There’s something about looking totally out of place that’s quite attractive and intriguing to me.

As for the color, I’m a medium tone and love the color, it’s a nice natural tan look without the effort of actually tanning.  The compact is packaged with a kabuki brush for a streak free application… thumbs down on the brush made of natural hair.

Redpoint’s Rejuvenating Bronzing Silk & Kabuki Brush sell for $38

Taste Test: Tight Curves Protein

July 9th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Time for another taste test that will help you look and feel beautiful.  Tight Curves is a multi-purpose protein powder created especially for women!

Tight Curves

Tight Curves tastes delicious but it’s not all about the taste. Here are some benefits:

  • - Support  low carb diets
  • - Facilitate muscle toning
  • - Accelerate fat loss
  • - Reduce water retention
  • - Increase endurance
  • - Increase bone density
  • - Elevate mood
  • - Improve, hair, skin & nails
  • Are you looking to burn fat this summer?  I’m going to give it a go yet again, I’ve had some half hearted attempts in the past in between pregnancies but I’m really determined this time.  I have no more excuses, finished nursing girl2006 in May!  For the first time in 7+ years and 3 children my body is all my own!

I’m very concerned about bone density and calcium content because of all the nursing, so I’ve been mixing Tight Curves with cold milk.  A scoop of powder, 8 ounces of your favorite beverage and blend.  I love using my blender to mix and get out the clumps and then let it all settle down to get the air bubbles out.  If you like the idea of texture try putting in a small serving of fruit. I’ve also used Tight Curves with water which is ok.  Any way you drink it, Tight Curves won’t leave you gassy and bloated! believe me it is a HUGE problem with some other protein powders.

Each pouch has 18 servings, very easy to transport.  105 calories per scoop with 14 grams of protein.

If you’d like more specific information please visit the Body Well Nutrition website.  Buy Tight Curves online. Or feel free to ask me!

    June 27th, 2008 · 10 Comments

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder

The end of a happy week, and it’s all because I love my makeup!  Through the sweaty heat and thunderous rain my makeup made me feel sunny and bright.  My first makeup layer, Stila’s Illuminating Liquid Foundation.  Then a thin coating of Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder to set and help retain moisture.

Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder is lightweight and translucent so all skin-tones can wear it!  It’s triple milled so it’s velvety soft, anti-aging peptides and neuropeptides improve the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles.

The powder puff is a little wimpy but at the $31 price point very easy to look over, especially since I use my kabuki brush to apply.  The compact package is gorgeous! shiny black and is used in a key scene in the “Get Smart” movie, I’m just wondering if it has a telephone in it?!

Even KAOS could not keep the key ingredients of Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder a secret!  The compact is available exclusively on QVC and we now have the information that powerful anti-aging peptides come together to create a pressed powder that will fast become your favorite.  Press relief briefing uncovered the details…

    • SYN-AKE Synthetic neuropeptide that mimics the wrinkle relaxing properties of an enzyme found in snake venom from the Brazilian Viper
    • SYN-Coll Mimics the body’s own mechanism to produce collagen
    • MATRIXYL 3000 - Collagen boosting dual-peptide that softens and smoothes the skin
    • SNAP-8 - Neuropeptide that helps reduce the depth of wrinkles cause by facial expressions
    • Argireline - Neuropeptide and Hexapeptide cocktail that prohibits muscles from contracting which prevents the formation of lines and wrinkles

Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care is a comprehensive collection of therapeutic skin treatments that use the most effective and potent ingredients.  There are over 100 products available!  which one is your favorite?

AVON smooth mineral BLUSH, Powder, Shadow

    April 29th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Avon Golden Glow  AVON is the brand I’ve vowed to get to know better this year and so far it’s been great!  For starters the price is good and secondly it’s available online, no need to be scared of being accosted by sales ladies.  Ok, on to the products…

You’re bushing! You radiate health and beauty, everywhere you go your Golden Glow is with you. AVON’s smooth mineral blush is a perfect make up bag item because it’s perfect for day as a light neutral look and gorgeous with smokey eyes and/or luscious lippies.  Smooth Mineral blush is available at a low sale price of $5.99!

AVON’s smooth mineral eye shadowAnd talking about smokey eyes, try AVON’s smooth mineral eyeshadows.  They come in a little pot and can go on super light or you can layer on more for more drama.  I’ve been wearing a lot of Breeze, which is a stunning blue shimmer shadow but since I’m more of a green person I keep it really light.  I’m also terrified of looking like MIMI from Drew Carrey show which is another reason to tread lightly through blue shadow waters.  Each shimmer shadow is on sale for $4.99!

    Avon

The most versatile and staple item of this crop in my opinion is the personal match smooth mineral makeup powder.  It’s a loose powder which is portioned small enough to manage in my purse.  The powder can be worn alone but it is so light you may do better to have your foundation on so the powder has a good base to hold onto.  The best part is the personal match is formulated with 100% pure, micronized pigments.  No talc, oil, fragrance or other irritants that can irritate your skin!  This is a great bang for your buck, sale price is only $7.99!

Check out www.avon.com for a special offer if you spend $15!

    Essence of Beauty Kabuki Brush

    February 26th, 2008 · No Comments

Kabuki essence of BEAUTYThe theatrics of Kabuki have inspired a retractable brush by essence of BEAUTY.  I really love this little brush because I don’t have to keep it in my make up bag, it’s retractable so I can just put it in my purse without worrying about loose powder or blush all over the place.

Perfect travel gift or for the girl on the go.  It’s great for powder or blush, what else do you need to know? it hasn’t shed at all and I’ve used it quite a bit.

essence of Beauty’s plush cosmetic brushes are made from authentic hairs and fibers so you get the best quality at a drugstore price.  For more reviews check out Total Beauty
