 I love their slogan, Earth Day is Everyday!  I’m seriously addicted to cloth bags now, I have some in my car, on the bannister, on every hook and doorknob in my house.  As much as I can’t stand the cheezy beauty counter bags, I love me some cloth grocery bags!

Father’s Day is coming up this Sunday, so what will you be doing for dear old dad?  I have the kids drawing pictures for daddy and Grandpa but couldn’t bring myself to buy another tie…  sooo, I’m looked at Father’s Day stuff for him that I can enjoy too.  

I considered all the same things you probably have, dvds? no, we have netflix.  Clothes? yes, but too complicated to shop for with kids in tow and limited stores.  Tech gadgets, no, they are expensive $$$.  So finally what can I get him that is cost effective and luxurious at the same time?  Fragrance, of course!

Diesel Fuel for Life is divine, it reminds me of a car he had when we met in Key West, I don’t know why it just reminds me of that moment in time when we had time to walk and talk on the beach.  I’m loving it on him and it’s apparent to me, if not the world that he loves it too because it has earned the highest fragrance post in his life… the gym bag.  It’s a great honor because that means he will wear it after morning gym and shower to go to work.  I asked him to describe his feeling on the scent and he reports that it “smells good”.  What can I say, he’s a man of a few words. The notes: star anise, grapefruit, lavender, heliotrope, raspberry and vetiver.

I was so happy to read that my good buddy Natasha over @ Fashioniche got the Louis Vuitton she’s been after.  I know I’m next!  I can just feel designer purse vibes!!  I am so terribly sick of the Liz Claiborne clearanced TJ Maxx purse I’ve been lugging around. It’s a faux gator black tote and I’m so sick of it, on top of that the dog has chewed on it so it’s really pathetic but I refuse to buy another cheap purse.  At the top of my purse wishlist is the Longchamp Legende and a Le Pliage to go in it.  The Legende has to be leather, maybe chocolate brown or beige or black or purple or green, I don’t really care at this point, lolz.  Congrats on your new purse Natasha, it’s too cute!!

I get it, totes are here to say there is no use fighting the inevitable, totes are the new “free” t-shirt of our day.  Hopefully more will be eco conscious reuseable shopping bags that replace plastic shopping bags.

Department stores are catching on!  Macy’s will offer the cute 100% natural cotton reuseable shopping bag for two days this weekend (April 26 - 27) for $3.95 with $1 of that going to the National Park Foundation.  The first 150 customers in each participating Macy’s will get a free one.

The NYSE’s Closing Bell for April 10, 2008 will celebrate SAKS Fifth Avenue’s 2008 Launch of the WantIt! campaign.  Chairman and CEO Stephen I. Sadove will ring the Closing Bell today at 3:55 , don’t deny it - you can’t wait!  If you’re stuck at work sans tv, click on the link above at the appropriate time to watch.

The idea of the Want It! campaign is to showcase the hottest trends for the spring season as defined by the experts.  Dutch Graphic Artist, Piet Paris, uses spray paint, collage, watercolor and more to depict the musts.  Designs will appear on shopping bags, Saks catalogs and stores.  I will be looking for pictures of the New York landmark series depicting the Chrysler Building, the Guggenheim and the NYSE so let me know if you’d like them displayed here for all to see!

I can’t stand that there’s not an investment beauty blog, what a great niche for a blog!  Wish I had the knowledge to combine beauty product reviews and investment tips.

The video is very entertaining, lots of Thakoon’s Spring 2008 runway footage.  Did you hear the part where Thakoon says it will compliment tan skin? 

I’m thinking I might give this one a chance after all…  I’m changing my position from casual, if it falls in my lap I will try it stance, to ‘I must go out and get Pixel Pink’!!  One warning, you may crave apple pie after viewing.

I’ve just had a horrible day culminating with cancelling my one day fashion trip to NYC! keeping a long story short - duty calls. The nice part about not going away were the nice back-handed compliments that I got from my oldest two. 

Boy2001 said, “Good, I might miss you. When is the next time you can go away?”

Girl2004 said, “Good, dad-E doesn’t know how to buy cereal because he doesn’t catch coupons” (I think she meant catch sales and cut coupons).  So at least I know where I stand with them!

Back to the Prada Parfum Coffret, isn’t it cute? the best part is it’s got 3 fragrances for women and one to “share” with men.  Great, glad I’m not being totally selfish or anything.  I guess I’ll be even more generous and share all the empty bottles with the cat or kid (depending on your lifestyle).  Prada Parfum Coffret is available for $50.

I also need something to go with my pouty mouth, I could really use Calvin Klein’s Delicious Pout Flavored Lip Gloss, I sure know what pouting tastes like right now and it ain’t minty!

Lately I’ve been all about Fresh, the products I’ve been using have been amazing so I am going to go ahead and wish for a ration of Creme Ancienne.  1 oz is $135 so you know it’s got to be good!

 My favorite saying in life is, “this too shall pass”, and a little moisturizer goes a long way. 

This is one of those luxurious things I will likely covet from a distance but I strongly believe that more expensive products are made with better products and have more active ingredients than cheaper products.

If I’m going to make a wishlist, there’s got to be at least one luxe item.  Here’s to wishing.
