I am the biggest Emilio Pucci fan! I love the prints and swirls of Pucci’s prints, not to mention all the color. I have owned many beautiful Emilio Pucci items that I didn’t cherish properly, all vintage and found rummaging about. Pucci scarves, dresses, lingerie, polo shirt, luggage… Oh why is great fashion history wasted on the young?!
On top of not taking care of it, I foolishly sold a lot of amazing stuff on eBay a few years ago and haven’t been able to find much vintage Pucci since. Pucci favorites that I still own are A Renaissance in Fashion by Shirley Kennedy which has beautiful pictures and loads of info, a large variety of press clippings, a vintage ad for armpit protectors, some assorted lingerie from Formfit Rogers with Emilio Pucci on it, signed cotton scarf and my vintage bottle/box of Vivara!
Emilio Pucci is the definition of luxury and style, a natural extension of the Pucci look is the scent. In 1965 the debut of Vivara parfum was to evoke the feeling of the Mediterranean sun and sea for the active modern woman. The 1980 ad for Vivara parfum was provocative, “SHE WEARS ONLY Vivara Parfum”.
Pucci has been back in the spotllight for a while now but I hadn’t thought about looking for the perfume. Vivara perfume is available and there’s an entire page dedicated to the “Prince of Prints” on Sephora.com According to them, it “…will remind you of vacationing on the Italian Riviera. Dazzling notes of sun drenched almond Amaretto, floral sambac jasmine, Narcissus, and a touch of orange blossom will sweep you away on imaginary journeys to the beaches on the Mediterranean.”
I haven’t caught a whiff yet, athough I have a full bottle it is very old and unreliable. I don’t know about you, but with all the snow we’ve had lately I could use a mental trip to the Med STAT!
I know I’ll get my chance soon! There are several size options for the Perfume Spray and the Perfume Body Cream and even a gift set available.
If you’d like more information about Emilio Pucci the man or the brand, check out the Pucci website, there’s a great timeline and history.

I’m a big fan of Pucci as well. Maybe it’s because I’m an abstract artist that absolutely loves color and design.
BTW - I just came here from the Total Beauty website. Love your blog!

I love showing Pucci’s prints to my daughter who is 3, it’s something she can imitate in her own way.
Thanks for coming by! let me know if your art is online…

I stopped in an antique store yesterday in Roseburg Oregon of all places, and purchased an old original bottle of the Parfum Vivara for only 25 cents. It is lovely.
I had to take a magnifiying glass to read the worn-away label.

I love those finds, even if it’s worn it’s fun to see one up close! Do you collect Pucci or just a chance encounter?
